Jewish Cemetery - Mackenheim

Also called the Judengarten ("Garden of Jews"), the Jewish cemetery of Mackenheim has been recorded in writing since 1608, which makes it one of the oldest of its kind in Alsace. It is located away from the centre of the village at the heart of the Rhineland forest. Tombs from towns and villages bordering the Rhine were brought here by boat.
