PRESENTATION OF HANDCRAFTS WORKERS, KNOW-HOW AND TRADITION
Presentation of Handcrafts workers, know-how and tradition - Andlau
The 14th edition of the festival dedicated to traditional, heritage, restoration and rare skills: Au cœur des métiers d'art, organised by the frémaa (federation of Alsace art trades) will be held from 25 to 27 June 2021 at the Richmond Park in Andlau.
In addition to having about twenty passionate professionals who will (re)discover ancestral techniques, such as bookbinding, violin making, furniture restoration or instrument making, the event will welcome training centres to present their arts and crafts courses.
This year's programme (demonstrations, conferences, workshops and activities) will focus on the stone trades! One of the highlights will be the creation of a stone arch by the students of the Lycée Professionnel Camille Claudel in Remiremont for the town of Andlau, from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 June in Richmond Park, which will take its final place at the entrance to the future citizen orchard at the end of the event. The Heritage Interpretation Centre "Les Ateliers de la Seigneurie" will also open its doors on this occasion.
