Musée Westercamp - Wissembourg
Reflecting the past of Wissembourg and surrounding areas, the Museum is housed in a magnificent Renaissance country-house in the historic center of the City. A small archaeological section contains Roman stelae and everyday utensils. The Middle Ages are represented by sculptures and architectural fragments. The military section provides the layout of the Lauter River defenses, uniforms from the Second Empire, a collection of knives and swords and firearms, memorabilia from the 87th Infantry Regiment. A third section deals with everyday life, popular imagery (Wentzel's pictorial images), local furniture and costumes (18th and early 19th centuries).
