Cycling for all - Between the ramparts and canals from Neuf-Brisach to Kunheim

Distance 18 km
Difficulty Family practice
Elevation 7 m

This 16-kilometre "Vélo pour tous" route takes in Neuf-Brisach, the perfect city designed by Vauban and a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as Biesheim and Kunheim, peaceful villages on the Rhine Paine. Between floodplains and canals bordered by lush forests, the relatively shady route presents no particular difficulties, apart from a few slight climbs to cross a few bridges. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to discover a number of points of interest (MAUSA Street Art Museum and Vauban Museum in Neuf-Brisach, Gallo-Roman Museum in Biesheim, tourist railroad and boat on the Rhine, Kunheim boat stop...). As a bonus, we suggest you take a tour of the fortified city walls (2.4 kilometers) to get the full measure of this impregnable fortress (beware of the steep descent and ascent). Created in partnership between the Alsace à Vélo collective, the Colibrius company and the Alsace Rhin Brisach Tourist Office, this loop has been tested and approved with adapted bicycles.
